I'm here!

Well I'm in the hospital getting ready for my first treatment in a couple hours, can't wait! That was a joke! I ended up finding a wig last weekend and it's pretty cute. I'll post a pic soon. I decieded not to shave my head until I have to in about 6 days, but I'm ready for it. My doc said I'll be really sick for the first 2 days of chemo so you might not here from me until after that. My moms here with me keeping me company and Josh is home taking care of our babies. luv u all!

My scans this week went good, so i'll be heading out to MD for my 3 weeks of treatment on wednesday. Still need to find a wig, hopefully i'll find one tomorrow. I'll post from the hospital because I'll be bored to death! luv u all

Bored....

Hello, i'm at home relaxing and bored. Thinking I might take Jules to the movies again! I go back on feb. 7-9th to rescan and hopefully all goes well. If it does go well my doc. says i'll go back the following week and start my treatment. Luv u all!

Can't wait to be home...

So I got stuck out her in MD for a week because I ended up needing surgery to remove a tumor out of my intestines. Everything went fine except I had a problem with the epidural they gave me. I guess the doc. poked somewhere he wasn't suppose to, so I had cerebral spinal fluid leaking to my brain, which gave me a headache every time I lifted my head. So that sucked, but hopefully the problem is fixed NOW! My mom took good care of me all week and I should be going home tomorrow as long as my headache doesn't come back. I can't wait, I miss my kids soooo much! So because of all this, my cells were frozen until I come back in about 3 weeks for treatment. I'm gonna start wig and hat shopping next week, that should be loads of fun!

My cells are growing! So excited, i go back to MD next week to rescan and meet with the doctors. Stay tuned! Luv u all, ur prayers are working!

New Doctors, New stuff going on!

Sorry, I know i have been such a slacker with this whole blog thing but I promise I'll try and be better! So I have new doctors in Maryland and I love them! I'm in a new protocol now that involves removing tumors and extracting certain cells(tumor infiltrating cells), and growing them to billions in the lab. I then go back to MD for 3 weeks and have 7 days of Chemotherapy to get rid of my immune system and then they put the cells back in me. These cells are suppose to be killing the tumors so hopefully after they put billions back in me that's exactly what they do. After they inject cells back in me I do another 5 days of IL-2. Then its a week or two of recovery. I just have to stay in there until my immunity comes back. So their saying if all goes well I have about a 50/50% chance of this working. I already went back and had the surgery to remove tumors, so my cells are in a lab growing now. The first hurdle I need to get past is the cells growing in the lab, there's about a 20-30% chance they wont even grow. Second hurdle, if they do grow, i go back and rescan and I cant have anything in the brain. 3rd hurdle, I need to be one of those 50% in the end. ummm I should know in a couple of weeks if the cells are growing, so I'll keep u posted. I'm excited about these new numbers and I am very hopeful. So keep your fingers crossed! I hope you all had a fun filled holiday, mine was pretty crazy, but fun! Luv you all

Not so great news!

Ok, so don't freak out, but the scans showed that the last treatment didnt work. Don't worry I feel great and it's not getting me down. I was expecting it. So, next is probably going to be chemo but I still have some other things in the mix, nothing is set in stone yet. When I have more details i'll let you all know. love u all
